The following lines dedicated to the memory of the
Honourable Benjamin Pratt, Esq; late Chief Justice of this
Province, and a member of his Majesty's Council;-- was wrote
and published in Boston, Jan. 26, 1763.
  With ardent love for ancient wisdom fir'd,
  And with a genius Heav'n alone inspir'd,
  He rifled Rome of all it's mighty store;
  And still athirst to Athens went for more.
